Tei Ekullas History
Most of this was written in 1998 and should probably be updated.
Brief Planetary History
Tei Ekullas (pronounced Tie uh Kull iss) is the world relatively closest to the body. Most of the people seen here in our Group live on this world; either by birth or moving there to live. Tei Ekullas is the capital world of the Ekullan Protectorate - an affiliation containing seven main worlds (Tei Ekullas, Crystalic, Opaline, Beph Tamar, Iras, Sirio, and Solarium). Three of these reside within the Ekullan planetary system itself; the others are within different systems. The capital planetary system is known either as the Ekullan System or by the name of their star - Tau Anaumin. The capital city is Eressea, which is also the name of the continent where this city resides. This is the home of the current Razna family.
Those of us who come around (or access the Gateway) usually have more knowledge of Tei Ekullas than of the other worlds. The Silhouettes Gateway is currently linked with Tei Ekullas. It is unknown at this time if the Gateway had at one time been linked to another planet in the past.

Here is what was written about Tei Ekullas on Apr. 12th, 2005:
There is a great deal we know and don't know about our world. We believe our world was once inhabited by an advanced people. There has been a lot of evidence to support this belief. What we do not know is what happened to them, why they are no longer here or where they went. There are two theories:
1) The civilization thrived on the world until something prompted them to initiate a mass exodus. There is no evidence of plague or warfare.
2) The world is an exact duplicate of another world, yet without the people. Why and how would someone create a world with evidences of life, yet with no people? Was it created for us? We don't think so.
There is a palace, home to a family who are descendants of the original inhabitants. They live with an attitude of royalty and rulership, yet there is no one for them to rule. Their memories appear to only go back so far. They have no apparent knowledge of what happened to the rest of world.
We have discovered a great deal of history about our world - historic events, names of past rulers, names of other lands and worlds - yet, there is nothing mentioned about why they no longer live here. If they ever did.

Planet Description
Tei Ekullas is a medium-sized world that is 2/3 land and 1/3 water. It has large areas of forested land, one ocean, many large lakes and rivers, and 3 large mountain ranges. It has no extremely varied temperature zones, though it is cooler at the poles. The world has two moons - Arias and Celana.
Tei Ekullas is believed to be a world created in the future and sent to the past by Planars. Several large colonies were also sent but were not allowed to bring technology with them. Within the Ekullan system there were other colonized worlds. The main two being Crystalic, Tei Ekullas' sister world (they share a single orbit), and Opaline, a world ravaged by an ancient war.

Inhabitants
There are two main forms of sentient beings who settled on Tei Ekullas. The most prevalent is the Common (being similar to humans). The common are split into different sects or clans: the Razna (royalty), Light Circle (elite defenders), the Kalendre (Planar blood), the mentors of thought, the Fellowing, various Illusionists, and others.
Some Ekullans (about .7% of all Ekullans) have the ability to move within and without their own Strand usually via portals that are self-made. Other Ekullans are able to move in this fashion as well, but they can not make the portals themselves. The most common travel is Narrow Strand distances which is within the current Strand. The least common travel ability is Wide Strand distances, which is to other Strands. There is also a rarer third ability called Within which is the ability to travel between Strands. Those with this third rare ability are trained and protected to prevent deliberate or accidental tampering which could lead to Strand fractures or even Strand collapse. Within the three modes of travel, there are different levels of proficiency, from lowest to highest. The highest of each mode being able to perform some tasks of the lower mode after their own.
The second form of blessed sentient beings who settled on Tei Ekullas are the lesser-seen Drakorr. They are a telepathic avian-type being. Some have a large wingspan (wings similar in appearance to an earth manta). The Drakorr are nearly reptilian in appearance. Some have a small curved horn on the bridge of their nasal cavity. They are covered with dark, coarse short hair above and softer velvety hair, a few shades lighter, below. They have muscled legs, and long retractable talons. They are considered extremely ancient, perhaps even predating the arrival of the original Ekullan colonists. They don't make contact often, and are seen as elusive, mysterious, and almost god-like. The most well-known Drakorr currently is Jehrina.
Since the original colonization, there have been other species who have settled on the world. Also, planets in other systems have been discovered with various relations established.

Theories & Beliefs
This is one of several beliefs held by those on Tei Ekullas. Some hold it as theory. Not everyone on the planet believes this. They of course wouldn't tell outside people these theories unless they understood the possibility of the existence of other worlds or dimensions.
Planar Children are those born with a Kalendre parent, the father. (Kalendre are also known as Planars on Tei Ekullas). The mother is someone usually within the Razna on Tei Ekullas. One Planar Child is born every 300 (possibly longer) years on Tei Ekullas. It was first believed that same soul would be reborn within every new child. This was later discounted as their lifespans sometimes overlapped. The first birth was believed to have occurred 3,000 years ago. Yet, there is still argument about the numerical translations of the records that had been found. Some believe them to date back as far as 100,000 years ago. (which leads to debates about when colonization first took place).
Planar Children have the ability to map the Strands, making wider and more distant Strand travel possible. When they lived an appropriate amount of years on Tei Ekullas, they return to the realm of their father. Some are then assigned as a recycled soul to a particular Strand or world. (This may be where the Ekullan idea of a Planar Child's reborn soul originated.)
It also appears that the Kalendre have been doing this not only on Tei Ekullas but on other worlds and in other Strands as well. How many of these Planar Children exist is not known. Ekullans with the ability to Strand travel can focus on these children as beacons, using them as a focal point into a new Strand.
The last known Planar Child born on Tei Ekullas was Kaesiah Mi-Razna (Amirah's older sister) - the first child of Rusahl and Hana. She died at the age of 7, and it is unknown whether another has been born (or will be born) on the planet to counteract this tragedy.

Stellar Lighthouse
The Stellar Lighthouse is a large space station in orbit over Tei Ekullas. It is commanded by Anjela Tyree. Her family has owned the station for several hundred years, originally making it a trading post for miners. Her family were also miners at that time. Slowly after generations, the station became a diplomatic and science station for many different worlds to gather. Diplomats and scientists from many of the other affiliations reside on this station - including Ly'ranna from the world of Araban, and Ven'tur who is a cyborg from the world of Syntre.
The affiliations represented are: Ekullan Protectorate, Dominion of Shalimar, Dragyn Consortium (druh Geen) - led by Queen Mother T'eklara, Shakari Empire, Empress Star Regime - led by Empress Alyci, Sanctuary, Colonial Territories, and the Unaligned Worlds. The only affiliation known and not represented are the inhabitants of the Combat Zone. The Zoners have proven themselves continuously to be violent and quite destructive.
The space station is also home to an artificial life-form known affectionately by the station crew as Mother. She dwells within the station's mainframe and helps maintain important functions. It's unclear how she came to be on the station, and there are legends within the Tyree family relating to Mother and her involvement with them over the generations.

(We need to add a great deal more to this profile and create separate profiles for the sister worlds.)
