Our definition of a Walk-in is any individual who arrives to a Group from a place outside of themselves. In other words, they weren't already living in or born into their Group. This includes Soulbonds, Fictives, Visitors, spiritual and religious icons, and After-lifers.
Soulbonds and/or Fictives - These are individuals whose histories are known in some genre of media. For us, these individuals do not always match their apparent "canon". In fact, many deviate a great deal after a certain point in their public stories. Also falling into the Soulbond or Fictive category are individuals who are from a media realm, yet may not be known within an Earth-canon media source. For example, a person may have lived within a Tolkien or Star Wars Realm, yet you wouldn't recognize their name or histories within a book or other source. Some people refer to them as In-sourced, which we don't use because it implies that another person only created them in their mind instead of that person arriving from elsewhere.
Visitors - Individuals of any description who only visit from time to time and are not permanent residents. They are from Realms or places outside of our Group's realm with the ability to come and go when they wish. Many visitors eventually become permanent residents.
Spiritual and Religious Icons - Individuals who may be seen as Angels, Gods, Goddesses, Spirit Guides, or other spirit forms. There are several spiritually-minded people in our group who commune with Angels, Guides and the like. Some of these spiritual icons are members of our group and others only visit a particular group member.
After-lifers - Individuals who have died in another place and then appeared in our Realm. They are primarily children and teenagers. After-lifers are locked into the age of their death and usually do not age outwardly from that time forward. There is a specific location in our realm where they appear. Several adults also fall into this category, yet they arrive in a different manner. Usually we can tell if an individual has died before their arrival to us; they no longer age physically.
