Information - Our Realm
Realm Descriptions
A few areas in our realm reflect earth-like structures. The Mansion and Henna's Egyptian temple are an example. The hamlet of Valance resembles earth history during a Medieval period. Lighthouse constructs are common as well. There are high-tech areas and low-tech areas.
The Mansion, which is the closest to the body (in relative terms), appears very similar to the Mansion from the X-men comics. It is set up like a college dorm. There are bedrooms, large kitchen, medical area, a meeting room, labs, exercise gym, game room, library, computer room, and some others. The Mansion is surrounded by large grassy areas much like a plantation. There are large gardens in the back, including a garden maze, water fountains, flowers, trees, playgrounds, and vegetable gardens. There is a swimming pool out back as well. A jungle resides nearby which has its temperatures regulated.
A few features in our realm have special significance. On our homeworld, the lighthouse near the ocean is Amirah's home. Henna's temple holds meaning for her, and others have their own special homes as well. There's a palace, an observatory, schools, villages, towers, and a space station; all on or around our one homeworld. There are other planets as well.
The days on our main world have 31 hour days. There are times when our cycles here in the earth realm run into each other because of this. We'll be awake during the day and sleep at night.
How Chaos works in our realm:
If we were to go by alignments used in some role-playing games, the different affiliations within our realm would be as follows. These aren't exact, but to give a reference:
The foyer around the body doesn't have a sky. It is like the inside of a dorm. There are skies back in our home realm. There are skies on the various planets. There are different stars and constellations, two moons and two other planets in our home planetary system.
There is a type of internet in our Realm. It doesn't function the way it does here on Earth though. Since our planet has a large habitable space station in orbit, the 'net runs through there and can reach anyone on the planet who has an appropriate receiver. It's been operational for just under a decade. There are still several on the world who are a little reticent when it comes to technology (long story involving tech vs no-tech in their past). The 'net is a connection to a large information database library from many of the other worlds. When planetary representatives stay on the station, they usually bring a new piece to add to the library. Many of the kids at the Mansion use it to chat to each other and for games. And it has a hook-up to the observatory so people can watch various celestial events live. It's probably closer in design to something from Star Trek; like a starship computer core of sorts. The idea came about from a few Earth humans who live back there. Go figure. :)
The technology in our realm that differs majorly from earth is space travel between planets. There are hovering shuttle crafts instead of wheeled ground vehicles. Holograms, artificial intelligence, droids, cyborgs. Medical technology like a form of stasis healing. A similar (yet different) type of planetary internet that is run from the space station in orbit. Oh, and a large space station in orbit where people live.
Our foyer living area around the body slowly changes to match the current body users. There is a long hallway with various bedrooms, a toy room, nursery, etc. Just a small space, but large enough for several individuals. Our realm back home doesn't change in this way, but some people were able to create small pocket areas. Such as Henna's temple. It's Earth-Egyptian in design. Amirah's lighthouses are another Earth construct brought to our realm. Other Earth items were brought to our world from our group member's own worlds: Harry's books, Sage's gifts for various people here, etc. If someone uses the body and would like a particular object or food that they've seen or used here, chances are someone can visit their own version of Earth (those who are from one) and bring that object or something similar back. If it exists where they are from, that is.
Agriculture and market places exist in our realm, depending on the locations. An exchange program exists for several of our villages. The farmers living there learn new ways to cultivate different types of crops. Representatives from different worlds spend time introducing new plants and showing how to care for them. It originally was a test run to see how the program worked and have a way for the outlying villages and hamlets to not feel left out of the rest of the planet's happenings. But it ended up becoming something full-blown. That was for the villages. There also is a large marketplace, some trading ports, spaceports, and caravans. With help of the agricultural program, it's thriving.

How Chaos works in our realm:
If we were to go by alignments used in some role-playing games, the different affiliations within our realm would be as follows. These aren't exact, but to give a reference:
- Ekullan Protectorate (including Eressea) -- Chaotic Good (good being a moral goodness) this is a natural mixture.
- Dominion of Shalimar -- Chaotic/Ordered Good (mixture with more Chaos than Order) a natural mixture
- Sanctuary -- Chaotic/Ordered Good (an unnatural balance)
- Shakari Empire -- Ordered Evil (not evil in the sense of 'Evil', only for reference) a natural mixture
- Empress Star Regime -- Chaotic/Ordered Evil (an unnatural balance)
- Combat Zone -- Chaotic Evil (a natural mixture)
- Dragyn Consortium -- Pure Neutrality (on all counts) an unexplained sector
- Colonial Territories -- True Order or Ordered Neutrality (a mish-mash of 'walk-in planets')
- Chaos -- True Chaos or Neutral Chaos (from which all others exist)
