Glossary - Personal Definitions
Silhouettes' personal terms and definitions. These definitions are based on personal insight and words we use amongst ourselves.
Actor Counterpart
A term used by Silhouettes meaning "the actor who portrays a Soulbond's life within a movie or other visual media entertainment". Some may refer to the actor playing them in a film in this manner. For instance, Luke Skywalker may reside within a group. He sat down to watch the original Star Wars movies, and now wishes to discuss it. Mark Hamill would be his Actor Counterpart. Some look nearly identical to their actor counterparts, and some look completely different.
After-lifer
A personal term for those in our group who lived a life elsewhere and arrived here after dying. In our own experience, they have mostly been children and teenagers, humans who once lived on Earth. Some are able to recall their previous life and others are not. Usually, they are locked into the physical age/appearance from when they died. The word refers to both living a life after death, and the questions some of them have asked if our realm were some form of an afterlife.
Canon Counterpart
A Canon counterpart is an individual's representation within their canon source. For instance, if Luke Skywalker resided within a group as a living person and he decided to read a novel about himself - he would be reading about his Canon counterpart. The character in the novel doesn't necessarily have to be him. It is a story written about a character who may or may not entirely represent Luke the person.
Canon Reality
A term used by Silhouettes meaning "the dimensions where Soulbonds are from". For some individuals, their Canon Sources are actual physical planes of existence they can travel to and from.
Epitome
We once referred to the entirety of our group is as the Kasiya Epitome. Our group also contains several smaller groups within it; such as Tej Agni, Chex Mix, The Clique. The Epitome is another term on our homeworld meaning 'clarity of communication', something we strive to achieve.
Graveyard Shift
Silhouettes' phrase for when an individual is using the body alone overnight.
Home Realm / Home Strand / The Primary
Silhouettes' term for where an individual originated from; if they are a Walk-in. It can also be used to refer to the shared Group Realm.

Media Realms
Home dimensions for various individuals known as being from books or other media. This is where Soulbonds and Media Walk-ins originate from.
*Also used: other worlds, inner worlds.
Near the Body / Foyer
For Silhouettes, this is the area just behind or around the body where several people can gather. They may be able to see and hear what's going on with the body and can talk with one another. It's also where switching can take place. One will leave the body and step back while another moves forward. The look of this area near the body can change over time depending on who is using the body most often.
*Also used: on the sidelines
Original Canon Reality
This is a term used by Silhouettes meaning "the home Canon-reality for a Media Walk-in". There may be many canon-realities out there, but there is only one home reality a Walk-in belongs to. This also explains why many individuals with the same name can have histories which deviate from their canon source and from each other.
Realm
A Realm is another word for an inner world. Some prefer to use Realm, since their world doesn't exist only on the inside, but outside and inside (or within and without). Silhouettes prefer to use the word realm instead of inner world, because the world is not inside of them. It exists elsewhere. The Silhouettes' Realm is a dimension that contains galaxies, planetary systems, and planets. For some Plurals, it is their real world.
*Also used: Astral, Head Space, In-House, Inner World, Internal Landscape, Real World, Within, Other World, Dimension, Alternate Reality.
Strands
Silhouettes' term for other realms, dimensions, or parallel realities. This can also refer to different timelines as well.

Tek-kin / Tekkers
Silhouettes' personal term for individuals in their group who are derived mainly from technology. They can also fit under the term Otherkin, but they wished for more specific term. These include: artificial intelligence, cyborgs, droids, and other mostly-tech constructs. Silhouettes use the term within their own group.
